The vaccine is safe. For a year now, it was already rolled out in routine immunization program for children aged 9 months. Babies have been getting it as part of routine immunization. We want to catch up with the rest of the population. It’s the same vaccine and manufacturer we have used for years, Sanofi Pastuers Stamaril. And its from France … not from America or Bill Gates as some are saying.
The campaign and vaccine is funded by Uganda as a country, not Bill Gates or some agenda. It’s your taxes paying it. It is safe. Even if you got previously and got it again, it’s safe. Only people confirmed allergic to eggs won’t get, and elderly above 60 years and breastfeeding mothers of infants below 9 months and pregnant mothers. The rest should get the vaccine, age 9 months to 60 years. And it’s one shot for a life time. You’ll be given a white MOH card and entered into a government register.
And when you want to travel, that white card is enough to show to a yellow fever card issuing centre and they give you the yellow card. You won’t be able to travel to any country without yellow fever evidence of vaccination. Vaccines save life. Let’s all get vaccinated, 2nd to 8th April. This is your money, your taxes, used to keep the country safe, to save us all. If we all are not protected, no one is safe. Vaccines work.
