Dr. Anthony Batte is a Senior Lecturer and Pediatric Nephrologist at the College of Health Sciences, Makerere University, Uganda. He completed his postgraduate training in Pediatrics and Child Health from Makerere University and had Pediatric Nephrology fellowship training at McMaster University, Canada. He is a certified Fellow of the International Society of Nephrology; a status the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) rewards to ISN members who have demonstrated outstanding professional accomplishments in research, service, teaching, or through their other contribution to the specialty of nephrology.
Dr. Batte manages children with kidney diseases as well as teaching other professionals in management of kidney diseases. Additionally, he conducts research related to kidney disease and his current research focuses on epidemiology, pathophysiology and biomarkers of kidney disease in children with malaria, malnutrition and sickle cell disease.
